Cutting-edge technology and competence to excel research

The Genomics Core Facility has for over 20 years provided state-of-the-art laboratory technology and competence to deliver high-throughput genomic services to the Norwegian scientific community. We offer an extensive repertoire of technologies to study genome structure, dynamics, and function from bulk sample analysis to single-cell and spatial resolution. Using cutting-edge Illumina high-throughput sequencing, BeadArray and NanoString technologies we increase the scientific competitiveness of our users by providing easy access to advanced technologies. We also deliver basic primary and secondary bioinformatics analysis using our DRAGEN Bio-IT platform, providing a comprehensive solution for high-throughput genomic analysis. Our services are equally accessible to all users from our health region, following a first come first served policy upon sample delivery.

The Genomics Core Facility is a member of the Norwegian Consortium for Sequencing and Personalized Medicine (NorSeq) which runs the National technology platform financed by the Research Council of Norway. In addition, we run the regional technology platforms for high-throughput sequencing in collaboration with our sister core facility at Ullevål Hospital and we are a University of Oslo approved core facility.

The Genomics Core Facility is an Illumina Certified Service Provider (CSPro), which ensures industry-leading data quality and service standards for genetic analysis applications. Please get in touch with us for a meeting to explore the options we can provide for your project.
