HiSeq2500 up and running


Our HiSeq2000 has been upgraded to Hiseq 2500, being the first such instrument in operations in Norway. The upgrade allows to running the Hiseq in Rapid and High output mode. A Rapid run can sequence ChIP-Seq in 7 hours, as well as paired-end RNA-Seq and Exome sequencing in 27 hours. The High output generated larger amount of data in 2 to 11 days.

The Genomcis Core Facility will not be accepting new sample submissions over the summer break. Deadline for submission is 16:00 on Thursday 5th of July. We will reopen again from Monday 6th of August. The sequencing of existing projects will continue, although turnaround times may be longer than usual.

The Genomics Core Facility has recently acquired new instrumentation, the ChromiumTM(10X Genomics) and RhapsodyTM(BD Genomics) enabling Single Cell Sequencing and sequencing of Artificial Long Reads.
